CampfiresWe allow campfires using one of our portable fire pits which you can hire for £7.50. We can sell you logs and kindling. Logs will be brought round every afternoon and you can either order them at time of booking, earlier in the day at the Shop or buy them when we deliver them to you. If you have ordered and find you have run out in the evening, a small stock of logs will be left
in the polytunnel with an honesty sheet. You can pay for them in the morning.
Please be very careful with your campfires and read our fire safety guidance when you arrive. In particular, make sure they are fully tamped out before you go to sleep, and don't leave them unattended
NB: Please note that if you bringing your own wood to burn, you must ensure there are no nails in the wood as these can be dangerous in a fire and also cause punctures to our tractor!
We have showers, toilets, washing and clothes washing facilities in the stable and lean-to. Additional toilets, showers, washing up sinks and a Chemical Disposal Point are situated halfway up the site in the old Tractor Shed Drinking water taps are situated to the side of the left-hand stable, over the bridge to the field and outside the Tractor Shed. Recycling and non-recycling waste bins are by the main gate. Canterbury City Council accepts glass in its recycling. If you have any food you want to keep chilled or frozen you can use the fridge/freezers in the washing-up lean-to.
Cafe, Shop & ReceptionOur small shop is now located in our brand new cafe behind the main camping field. Reception is also inside the cafe (or outdoors if the weather permits)
Please park your car in the car park upon arrival and just follow the signs to reception. You will see the Cafe/Shop/Reception in front of you
